Sandy Beshir, MPH
Research Data Curator Role within HIREC:
Ms. Beshir’s primary responsibilities are data resource curation and systems analysis. She is responsible for developing, managing, validating, and sharing the metadata needed to describe scientific resources made accessible to HIRN researchers via the online Resource Browser developed by the HIRC. Resources available include biomedical datasets, biological reagents, documents (e.g. protocols), and/or technologies (e.g. assays). Ms. Beshir also assists with promoting the availability of these scientific resources to the entire diabetes research community via social media and the HIRN website.Education:

Ms. Beshir has previous experience in contact tracing, information/specification gathering and communications. She has experience in using software systems such as SPSS and ArcGIS. Educational background includes courses in epidemiology, biostatistics, and public health biology.
