The Trans-Network Committee (TNC) brings together representatives from each HIRN scientific consortium, the HIRN Enhancement Center (HIREC), and NIDDK Program Staff. The TNC serves as a cross-network forum to facilitate communication, coordination, and collaboration across HIRN’s scientific programs.
The Committee will:
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across HIRN scientific consortia and centers.
- Identify opportunities for cross-network collaboration and integration of complementary scientific expertise and resources.
- Coordinate activities and initiatives that advance HIRN’s overall scientific mission and goals.
- Share information and perspectives on emerging scientific priorities, research needs, and opportunities within the HIRN community.
- Support alignment and coordination among HIRN networks, HIREC, and NIDDK Program Staff.
- Contribute to the development of cross-network initiatives that strengthen HIRN’s impact and advance the field of type 1 diabetes research.
- Develop collaborative scientific manuscripts and publications on topics of broad relevance to HIRN and its research networks, including review articles and collaborative publications such as the HIRN Molecular Metabolism Review Series.
