Project AssistantRole within HIREC:
Ms. Berger provides administrative support and assistance to the HIREC PIs and Program Manager with regards to meeting coordination, materials, organization, and travel arrangements. She provides scheduling and coordination for the Steering Committee, Working Group and other HIRN-related meetings or teleconferences. Ms. Berger also coordinates travel for the HIRN External Scientific Panel Members, and HIREC staff. She assists with developing the monthly HIRN newsletter and ensuring the HIRN website remains current, as well as performing any additional administrative responsibilities including assisting with contracts, licenses and other business processes.Experience:
Ms. Berger has been with City of Hope for over 12 years with experience as a data entry analyst and Administrative Assistant. As a data entry analyst, she entered Bone Marrow Transplantation data for adult and pediatric patients into a centralized database in preparation for quality assurance and scientific analysis. She was responsible for the overall coordination, organization, and efficient implementation of data. She completed all study related data entry procedures for Hematology. Maintained accurate, confidential files and documentation of study participants. As an Administrative Assistant, she has experience coordinating travel and processing travel expense reimbursements, maintaining contracts in MediTract and organizing department guest speakers.
