►Where are you from originally, and where did you go to school?
I was born in Kyoto, Japan. I attended schools (from elementary school to med/grad school) in Kyoto, Japan.
►What is your current position?

►Why did you decide to become a researcher?
I love to research and think crazily.
►What is the “Big Picture” of what you study?
The overall of my research is to completely understand AAV vector biology.
►What is your favorite aspect of your research?
The more I study AAV and other parvoviruses (my study subject), the more I find things that I want to know more, which is never ending and always exciting.
► What do you hope to achieve with your research?
I would like to turn viruses into more effective and safe medicine to treat various diseases

Playing piano.
