The Laboratory of Dr. Juan Alvarez at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, is looking an Animal Research Specialist with animal care experience and an interest in regenerative medicine.  The Alvarez lab works at the interface of Circadian Rhythms and Diabetes. We ask how circadian & metabolic rhythms shape pancreatic islet maturity, using mice and human stem cell-derived islet organoids as model systems. The ideal candidate will support in vivo and ex vivo studies characterizing glucose homeostasis and pancreatic islet function and have an interest to grow in the position as a profession, assuming increasing levels of responsibility. College degree and experience in mouse colony management and timed mating are required. For more information please go HERE
